How’s it going Gamerz?! Thank you for joining me on this fine day. If you couldn’t tell by the headline I would like to talk to you guys about one of my favorite series of all time, The Legend Of Zelda! For the most part, this series has yet to disappoint me. I was, unfortunately, one of those who was originally really upset about the cell shading back when The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker came out with the cell shading design. Since then I have played it at least 3 times and regret my original complaint. One of the best parts of this series is how it keeps evolving, just look back from The Legend Of Zelda (1986) to The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (2017) and you’ll immediately see what I’m talking about.
Nintendo has been on an upswing as of late, in my opinion, and they have been doing a pretty good job of focusing a lot of attention to indie games or as they call them “Nindies”. One such game that has been out for a while called Crypt Of The Necrodancer, I never really thought about…until yesterdays Nindie showcase. For those who may be unaware, the game is a rogue-like rhythm game. Of which I just found out yesterday myself when I did some more research about the game. I do the hard stuff so you don’t have to! I have been pumped about the remake of The Legend Of Zelda: Links Awakening since I heard the news on that game. I didn’t think any other Zelda game would be worked on or even coming out until late this year or next year. Cadence Of Hyrule has the same mechanics of Crypt Of The Necrodancer, of course, being a rouge-like rhythm game but with Link and Zelda as playable characters. Not only will you be able to stomp out moblins as Link but you can also serve up some justice as the badass princess the series is named after, Zelda. The graphics look amazing, I would say they’re going for more of a 16 bit SNES era look compare to the original game that went for the 8 bit NES. Although this isn’t really a Zelda title and just another title in the Crypt Of The Necromancer series, I will address it as a Zelda title. Because I am incredibly biased towards Zelda.
I’m now really interested in seeing what the original game has in store before this one hits shelves sometime during the Spring of this year, what do you guys think about this game? Let me know in the comments down below and check out the trailer!!
